In line with this commitment, Schaeffler India has launched the Social Innovator Fellowship Program to recognize and support individuals creating sustainable solutions with societal impact. The program will select 10 individuals aged 18 to 35 and award them fellowship grants worth INR 15 Lakh each. Fellows will also receive exclusive mentorship and networking opportunities through IIMA Ventures at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. This fellowship fosters innovation and empowers young change-makers to implement their ideas and drive meaningful progress in their communities.

Selection Process For Social Innovator Fellowship
A multi-stage selection process will determine the winners of the Social Innovator Fellowship Program 2024. The selection stages are mentioned below:
- All eligible applications will be reviewed and scored based on the following criteria:
- A clear target market or audience
- Addressing clear need, problem, or opportunity
- Potential to scale and positively impact people
- Economical and sustainable
- Commercial viability
- Should be a prototype
- Telephonic interview and document verification
- A virtual interview round with the Schaeffler India team
- A project pitch presentation to Jury panel & leaders (organized by Schaeffler India team) and final interview
Eligibility Criteria For Social Innovator Fellowship
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Applicants must be aged 18 to 35 years as of July 1, 2024.
- Applicants must be residents of India.
- Apply as individuals, groups, or organizations (both profit and non-profit)
- Ensure the project is not an established commercial venture.
Note: Early-stage startups or NGOs with a functioning prototype can participate. Entries must include a pitch deck and a video describing the work that can be uploaded on the website.
The project must be related to any of the following categories:
- Environment sustainability
- Renewable energy
- Carbon neutrality
- Circular economy
- Natural resource management
- Application of technology in social sector
