ABA Administrative Law Fellowship 2024

The ABA Administrative Law Fellowship was established in 2021 under the Section of Administrative Law and Regulatory Practice at the American Bar Association. This program is designed to increase the number of legal academics focusing on administrative law by giving current attorneys the tools they need to become strong candidates in the academic job market. The program model is “fellowship,” and the duration is two years. The programming features formal mentoring for practicing or full-time working fellows, grants for affiliation with a law school for research support, and training in research strategy by the mentors.

The fellow is assigned one primary mentor and two secondary mentors to assist in developing a research agenda, job-talk paper, and other application materials. The program will offer training in research methods and strategy and affiliation with a law school to give fellows remote access to research and publication resources. The fellow also gets to present his or her work at meetings of the ABA The Section conferences. Fellows are also provided with up to $1,500 annually for travel and accommodations.
